		The scheme would be implemented in 16 hoblis including Gurupur, Mangalore (B), Mulky, Suratkal, and Moodbidri in Mangalore taluk; Bantwal, Panemangalore, and Vittla in Bantwal taluk; Belthangady, Kokkada, and Venoor in Belthangady taluk; Kadaba, Puttur, and Uppinangady in Puttur taluk; and Sullia and Panja in Sullia taluk.
		All farmers in the listed hoblis growing paddy were eligible to enrol themselves under the scheme, according to the release.
		The release said that farmers who had taken loans to grow paddy should compulsorily go in for crop insurance while the scheme was optional for those who grew the crop without obtaining a loan.

		BANGALORE: The State Government has prepared a plan to set up rural digital centres at the hobli level to issue records of tenancy and cultivation (RTC) to farmers.
		Replying to a call attention notice from Haladi Srinivasa Shetty in the Legislative Assembly, the Minister for Revenue, M.P. Prakash said on Tuesday that centres would be set up from this year in collaboration with private firms.
		In order to avoid inconvenience to farmers, the department has decided to open centres at the hobli level, he said.
