	Geschiedenis Hoeksche Waard
		Dit is een verkorte versie van mijn doctoraalscriptie Het bestuur van het oostelijk deel van de Hoeksche Waard tussen 1700-1780.
		Natuurlijk is het wel zo dat nieuwe schepenen uit een bepaalde, beperkte groep werden gekozen, maar ik betwij fel of deze groep slechts uit zeven personen bestond.
		Het dorp Maasdam ligt in de Hoeksche Waard en niet zoz eer aan de rand ervan, zoals Puttershoek en 's-Gravendeel.

	Hoeksche Waard - Wikipedia
		De Hoeksche Waard ontstond na 1421 toen de Sint Elisabethsvloed het gebied overstroomde en de waterlopen in het deltagebied drastisch veranderde.
		Daarvoor hoorde het oostelijk deel bij de Grote Waard, en het westelijk deel bij het voormalige eiland Putten.
		De naam Hoeksche Waard is afgeleid van de ambachtsheerlijkheid Hoecke, het tegenwoordige Puttershoek.

		Het district Hoeksche Waard bestaat uit de afdelingen Binnenmaas, Cromstrijen, ´s-Gravendeel, Korendijk, Oud-Beijerland en Strijen.

		Both the conservation and the sustainable use of biodiversity by society (in relation to the functions: agriculture, fruit cultivation, water, fish and water management, nature, recreation, living, working and communication/education) were subject of this project.
		Both goals were reached; a vision on biodiversity in the Hoeksche Waard was composed and the actively involved citizens produced a considerable number of coherent biodiversity project plans that formed the basis for the formulation of a long-term policy ambition for biodiversity in the Hoeksche Waard.
		As a follow-up of this project the province of South Holland, local officials from the water board Council “Hollandse Delta” and the regional commission for Spatial Planning “Commissie Hoeksche Waard” have composed a Regional Biodiversity Action Plan and have committed to actively facilitate and coordinate the implementation of the proposed projects from this Regional Plan.
