Holborn tramway station (not to be confused with Holborn tube station) was a tram stop underneath Kingsway (a road in central London), part of the Kingsway tramway subway route.
Services from Angel Islington to Aldwych commenced on 24 February 1906 and through services on 10 April 1908 from Highbury station to Tower Bridge and from Highbury station to Kennington Gate.

 Chancery Lane tube station - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Originally the station had been more evenly spaced, but when the Central Line station at British Museum was closed and replaced with a new one at Holborn, this ceased to be the case.
The original exit was on the north side of the street, by the junction with Chancery Lane, but was later moved to Staple Inn (one of the few surviving buildings from before the Great Fire of London) when the provision of escalators necessitated a new ticket hall to the east of the original.
The station was opened on July 30, 1900 with its current name, but from June 25, 1934 was known for a brief while as Chancery Lane (Grays Inn).

Aldwych tube station should not be confused with the Aldwych tramway station which was a stop on the Kingsway tramway subway.
The station was opened as Strand station on November 30, 1907, and was only ever served by a shuttle service to Holborn, except for a single late-night service which ran through to Finsbury Park for the benefit of theatre-goers.

The video for The Prodigy's Firestarter track was shot in the disused running tunnels between the station and "Holborn." The L-shaped building is situated at the junction of The Strand and Surrey Street, with the large portion in the latter.
Station closed during WW2 and was used as a public air raid shelter, as well as housing exhibits (including the Elgin Marbles) from the British Museum in the disused tunnels.
Initially served by two tunnels from "Holborn," customer demand was never high, so one line was closed quite early on, with the remaining track operating a shuttle service only from what was originally designated the Northbound platform.
