		The Holden 48/215, introduced in 1948, was a medium-sized vehicle fitted with a 132 in³ (2.15 L) engine, and based on a design proposed for the 1949 Chevrolet, that had been rejected as being too small for that purpose.
		Holden sold the Nissan Pulsar as a Holden Astra (not to be confused with the Opel-sourced model of the same name) and used the 3.0 L 6 cylinder RB engine from Nissan's Skyline in the VL Commodore (1986-1988).
		Holden also exports its Statesman sedan to the Middle East as the Chevrolet Caprice, to South Korea as the Daewoo Statesman, and China as the Buick Royaum.

		The 2.0 litre Frontera Sport certainly fulfilled these criteria giving between 11 -12 litre per 100km around town, and around 15 -16 litre per 100km when touring with our Camper on tow.
		Off-road the Frontera easily kept up with the big boys from both the Jackaroo and Idlers 4WD Clubs, much to their surprise.
		However but it did lack for ground clearance, requiring "snatching" when it got hung up in some of the really rough areas, plus it was a little underpowered particularly when towing our camper.

		Holden replaced it under warranty, it is apparently a weakness of the Holden clutch set up that this can happen, same with jackaroos but at least they have greater clearance and are less prone to sand entry by pressure when winched backward - or even maybe energetic reversing in deep sand.
		They warned that it may not be covered by the warranty if we had "abused" the clutch but we booked it in for replacement anyway.
		My wife spoke to Holden Customer Service who took details (including when the car was booked in to be repaired) and told her to contact them if the dealer did not consider it should be done under warranty.

		The Sport first went on sale in Australia in late 1995 but the Estate is not available here, perhaps because it is too close to the GM Holden Jackaroo?

		The Holden Frontera is finally on it's last leg's and we still get the Holden Jackaroo (Isuzi Trooper/Bighorn) They even had a go at selling the Chevrolet Surburban, as a Holden, but failed as people knew it was just a rebadged Chevrolet and it was basically too big for most people to drive!!
