Subsequently, the water is drawn from the holdup tank by the primary pump and returned to the pool through the shell of the heat exchanger.
Normal holdup volumes result in a time delay before the core outlet water is drawn out by the primary pump, depending on flow and head difference.
The pump inlet is the end of the Holdup tank exit pipe; water is pumped once through the shell of each tank of the heat exchanger and returned to the pool (either the open or stall pool inlet, depending on valving).

Contract bridge - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In duplicate bridge, the hands are shuffled only once, at the beginning of the tournament, and dealt clockwise one at a time (there are also special machines for pre-dealing on large tournaments), and placed into bridge boards.
In duplicate bridge, all the points are accumulated and present a single score, expressed as a positive number (sum of trick points and bonus points) to the winning pair, and by implication, as a negative number to the opponents.
In 1925 when contract bridge first evolved, bridge tournaments were becoming popular, but the rules were somewhat in flux, and several different organizing bodies were involved in tournament sponsorship: the American Bridge League (formerly the American Auction Bridge League, which changed its name in 1929), the American Whist League, and the United States Bridge Federation.

 Bridge Writing Style Guide
Almost all bridge writing involves the layout of various diagrams — the conditions of a deal, the cards, the bidding, etc. — and it is important to decide on an overall scheme.
The most frequent error in bridge grammar is the misuse of the words “bid” and “call.” A bid states a number and denomination.
In bridge, as in other fields, certain phrases are used so frequently that it is torturous to spell them out each time.
