 | | Many holistic educators believe that, at its core, Holistic Education centers on the understanding that we as humans need to learn much more than simply how to earn a living or conform to a culture if we are to have meaningful lives. |
 | | Therefore, at the heart of Holistic Education, one may see the goal of what has been described as the quality, process, inquiry, and/or engagement of what it means to be human. |
 | | Other characteristics of Holistic Education often include inquiry into that which makes self-actualization possible, such as expressions of competencies such as good judgement, the ability to be free, the ability to discover and refine values, or meta-learning. |
