With the arrival of the Outsiders (Scott Hall and Kevin Nash) in the spring of 1996, Hogan was strangely absent from WCW.
The pinfall Hogan made on Sting was little out of the ordinary, hardly the result most fans were looking for, and then WCW newcomer, Bret Hart (a referee for the Eric Bischoff-Larry Zbyszko match) rushed to the ring, restarted the match and eventually counted the pinfall on Sting.
Hogan finally met and (with the help of nephew Horace Hogan) defeated the Warrior at Halloween Havoc to avenge his Wrestlemania VI loss.

Hogan covers all the key moments in his long career: his early incarnation in the late 1970s as "Super Destroyer"; the birth of the good-guy Hulk Hogan persona; joining forces with Vince McMahon Jr.
To their credit, Hogan and co-writer Friedman do provide some glimpses of the often seedy world of "professional" wrestling (fights are staged and scripted; wrestlers often cut themselves to produce bloody wounds), but it isn't anything that everyone doesn't already know.
Hogan's view of Vince McMahon is interesting as Hogan, whilst avoiding outright criticsism, does not present it in the sickly-sweet way, almost worshipy way that other wrestlers scribblings have done.

When Hollywood Hogan was the ‘bad’ guy, with the NWO, I came up with the idea fantasy, or Soap Opera (that’s what wrestling is anyway) that I was Hogan’s long lost brother, which Hollywood has never seen before, but knew he had a brother out there somewhere.
Every time Hogan came out to the ring, he didn’t know (or the fans) if that brother would appear that night… the fans were also in suspense.
In disbelief, Hollywood couldn’t believe the resemblance, and this was the brother he never saw, and wanted to meet him… the long-lost-brother had other plans for him..

Hogan might not have won that match, but it was still one of the most legendary matchs to this date.
The Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior encounter from Wrestlemania XI seemed a little conspicuous by its absence, but that match did little for Hogan's career in the long run, so its exlcusion is really a matter of splitting hairs.
Hogan is indeed the Babe Ruth of wrestling, but there are still plenty of other legends deserving of the two-disc treatment.

 Hollywood Hulk Hogan
Love him or hate him, any true wrestling fan has to admit that Hogan had a huge and overall positive impact on pro wrestling that no other wrestler past or present has had.
Hogan debuted for the AWA as a heel, or at least that was the plan but soon the fans were cheering him and Hogan soon became the main foil for AWA Heavyweight Champion Nick Bockwinkel.
Seeing opportunity, as well as dealing with a lot of frustrations over the way he was being handled in the AWA, Hogan made the jump back to the WWF and wrestling history as it had been known irrevocably changed.
