California may not be the best place for collecting records from the 1920’s, but one advantage is the occasional find of a record issued by a West Coast company.
The primary record companies operating in California were Nordskog (1921-1923), Hollywood (1923-1926) and Flexo (1929-1932).
Hollywood recorded local artists and did not share their material with other record companies.

Even so, Hollywood's adoption of MP3 is significant, if only because in the past the larger record labels have tended to use encryptable formats such as Liquid Audio to protect their copyright in the work.

HOLLYWOOD - Though Disney chairman Michael Eisner prevented Pearl Harbor from having a hefty, oversized, dinosaur-big budget, there's nothing to stop the World War II epic from breaking The Lost World: Jurassic Park's opening weekend box office record.
The $135 million Pearl Harbor uses the Japanese raid of the naval base mainly as a backdrop, as most of the film centers on two friends (Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett) who fall for the same woman (Kate Beckinsale).
This means that Disney, and all of Hollywood, is banking on Pearl Harbor to succeed.

The majority of the songs use the front left and right for lead vocals but the front center is used for Freddie Mercury's voice on "Play The Game" to breathtaking effect; you can hear every breath he takes in between the words.
As previously mentioned, "The Game" was a drier sounding record for Queen and the surround mixes are respectful of that fact by not being too aggressive with placement of instruments.
When the harmony vocals or guitar leads enter from the surrounds, the effect feels natural, as if that was the way it was intended and not a gimmick.
