The breeding region of this horse was westward of the river Elbe and his home were the marshes of Holstein coastline in the districts of Steinburg, Pinneberg, northern and southern Ditmarsh.
In the breeding stations were used exclusively stallions of the Holsteiner breed, however in the southern part of Geest were also used the Hanoverian stallions, but even here was the tendency to convert to the Holsteiner type of the marsh horse.

The horse is great and an obvious Holsteiner in look and looks like her reported sire, although coloration is different.
A verband registered horse would not have a tattoo (if you mean a TB lip tattoo), it would have a Holsteiner brand on the left hip, the Holsteiner emblem with usually two numbers under it.
You may have to shave her butt on the left side to find the brand, as winter hair may obscure the brand and sometimes the brand is more prominent than other times, but Verband registered Holsteiners as far as I have seen (so far!) always have had a brand.
