Holt County is a county located in the state of Nebraska.
Holt County was named after Joseph Holt of Kentucky, who was Postmaster General and Secretary of War in the cabinet of President Buchanan.
In the county the population is spread out with 27.30% under the age of 18, 5.70% from 18 to 24, 24.50% from 25 to 44, 22.70% from 45 to 64, and 19.80% who are 65 years of age or older.
