Simon Bruty/SI Going to a men's lacrosse game at Homewood Field on the Johns Hopkins campus in Baltimore can be like deciding on a whim to go to a Phish concert.
Hopkins has reason to be loopy over lacrosse because the school has played such a key role in the sport's history: In 1883 the Blue Jays were part of the first collegiate lacrosse league, and Hopkins teams represented the U.S. in Olympic exhibitions in 1928 and '32.
So if you ever travel to Homewood, take note: The sport may not mean much to you now, but once you get into lacrosse, you're hooked for life.

After the field goal attempt, Hopkins took over at their own 25 but they went three and out and were forced to punt.
Dickinson triumphantly forced Hopkins to settle for another long range field goal attempt, but Blue Jays kicker Scott once again pulled through for the boys from Baltimore closing the scoring gap; Dickinson now only edged their opponents by one point, 14-13.
A field goal would not suffice at this point in the game because if the Dickinson defense were to give up a touchdown, they would then be down by a field goal rather than remaining in the lead.
