	Homie (band) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Homie was a short-lived American rock band, a side project of Weezer's Rivers Cuomo.
		Homie released just one song, American Girls, on the soundtrack of the 1998 film Meet the Deedles.
		Homie also played live shows in a different line-up, sometimes as The Rivers Cuomo Band.

		Bands are not supposed to be this good on their first EP.

		Homie Pooser: I know this sounds very clichéd, but the truth is that if you went through my CD collection now, you'd find stuff as varied as Blink 182, A Perfect Circle and Coldplay.
		I don't see many bands doing what they need to do, which is get out of town and tour.
		Ultimately, local bands need to get the chip off their shoulders and work on producing great music instead of grooming their egos.

		A video for the track is expected to be released this month and the band is currently asking for votes to earn them a place on the upcoming Taste of Chaos date on March 23rd.
		The band is not stopping however, with plans later this month to join These Arms Are Snakes, the Blood Brothers, and The Crystal Skulls on January 28th for the Vera Project’s 5-Year Anniversary Party at The Showbox in Seattle, WA.
		The band is planning to post new demos weekly leading up to their studio time at the end of the month.

		I had a dream last night that involved being in Newfoundland, where my friend Trevor crashed his Datsun (which he doesn't own in real life) into a wall, and also involved me getting a Class 1 licence to be a truck driver.
		Presently the band of buccaneers noticed that their eyes were itching and irritated.
		So, the gauntlet was thrown down by my sister the other day in regards to the bloggiversary contest- I believe she said something to the effect of "I'ma kick alla yer asses." Brave talk, to be sure.

		homegirl, homie, and homeslyce had all been friends for what seemed like forever, and homejar and homeslyce had been friends since the sixth grade.

		Despite only seeing it only sporadically in the first few years (and never in the first couple of years), I was listening every Monday right from the start.
		Kids didn't have TV's then, but we had radios and WFIL/WPVI (Philly's ABC affiliate) broadcast their audio signal on the low end of the FM band.
		One of the more humorous aspects of evolving media is how people keep finding interesting ways to play practical jokes or to just pass along out of band messages in forums never intended for the purpose.

		Brian left the band shortly after this album was released, and worked on Space Twins, and (breifly) in a band called Jerkwater, before joining Weezer in fall 1993.

		note that at this time the band had no bass player, as Matt had left the band late in 1997, and Try-outs for a new bass player would soon commence, ending with the selection of Mikey in early summer 1998....
