I have nothing against Homosexuality myself as I work with a lot of them in the NHS, but it is forbidden in Sikhi.

You have provided the answer to both of these questions yourself, Sikhism believes in “sant-sipahi” not grishti jeevan (householder) nor does it believe in sanyasin (recluse) this is why we are teesri panth.
I would also like to state that Sikhism does not have to state it explicitly, it doesn’t state it at all, in my mind there is no problem with same-sex marriages not even the slightest iota.
Homosexual marriages should never be seen as a threat to the integrity of Sikhism, it is a respectable quality in every person to be who they really are the long term effects of that are a liquid not static society.
