		Honda had long talks with Mike Coughlan of Arrows but eventually decided not to take him and he signed a three-year deal to become technical director of Tom Walkinshaw's team.
		Honda previously worked closely with Shell but the company is tied into Ferrari at the moment and it may be that a deal has been struck with its rival Exxon, which has always said it will not enter F1 unless the project includes a major engine manufacturer.

		The wheels were changed the week before the paintwork was done so that the car would look good as soon as it was painted and the HONDA BEAT graphics were applied a week after the paint was done.
		Managing to get hold of a copy of the workshop manual and parts listings meant I had a source of Beat information other UK Beat owners had only ever dreamed of, and with the ability via my work to get Beat parts, I have become a valuable asset to the UK Honda Beat club.
