Honda hoped the CX series would compete favorably with smaller BMWs, and so went to a lot of trouble to get them right the first time.
The wizards at Honda combined a 10.5:1 compression ratio and 10,000 rpm redline with overhead valves (four per cylinder, with unique forked rocker arms acting off of each pushrod) and a camshaft nestled at the base of the V between the cylinders.
The CX was often considered a little brother to the mighty GL1000 Goldwing, and in 1983/84 Honda went the whole nine yards with the GL500 Silverwing.

I would run an EX Harness, the CX doesn't have VTEC so it's not wired in, so you can wire it into the ECU or (what I would do) buy a 92-95 Si/Ex harness and use that instead.
As far as the mounts go, if you're using regular B series mounts in the CRX (I've never done a CRX so I don't know what u use to put a B series engine in there), then yes, the same mounts will work in your CX.
Though the secondary butterfly on the GSR, VTEC crossover, VTEC through the ECU, all that crap is done stock with a P72 ECU, so it'd be better for stock purposes in my opinion opposed to a chipped P28...unless you plan on tuning later.
