		Hoobastank (also colloquially referred to as "Hooba" or "The Stank") is a rock band best known for their crossover hit "The Reason" (2004) and by their continued success in the modern rock market.
		Hoobastank formed in the Los Angeles County suburb Agoura Hills in 1994.
		Hoobastank has also appeared with the song "Did You" on the Spider-Man 2 Soundtrack and the song "Right Before Your Eyes" on the Daredevil: The Album, also the song Connected featured on the Halo 2 Volume 1 Soundtrack.

		Hoobastank consists of Doug Robb on vocals, Dan Estrin on guitar, Markku Lappalainen on bass, and Chris Hesse on drums.
		The band hails from California and was formed in 1994 after Robb and Estrin met in a band competion in high school.
		Hoobastank had to cancel the last dates of the their summer tour after Estrin had a motorbike accident which left him with a fractured skull.

		The XXX-rated quartet Hoobastank arrives on this self-titled major-label debut as a nu-metal Weezer, though without anything as cheekily subversive as "Hash Pipe." The similarities lie more in Hoobastank's tight playing and vocal harmonies than in the overblown post-teen lyrics.
		I am glad I purchased this album for this is the Hoobastank which is enjoyable to listen to and not a hinderance on one's ears.
		Hoobastank isn't the best or most innovative band in the world, but as long as you can accept that, they make a pretty darn good pop-rock song.

		This album is very good and although it may get a bit samey if you listen to it all the way through it still has some impressive songs with solid drumming, bass, great guitar work and a good voice on the vocalist.
		However, the nice surprise about Hoobastank is that the lyrical shortcomings and lack of originality are almost completely offset by the hooks and melodies.
		Hoobastank need to find their own voice, to step out of the shadow of more illustrious bands, but the sheer strength of songwriting here indicates they can do it, they simply need the courage to put out something less radio friendly and more challenging.

		Their first album went platinum thanks to the hit singles "Crawling in the Dark" and "Running Away." But with their second album, The Reason, it shows that they're songwriters of uncommon talent, with a broader palette of songs, moods, and emotions than their self-titled debut.
		Formed in the mid-1990s in the Los Angeles suburb of Agoura Hills, while the quartet was still in high school, Hoobastank has since grown into a songwriting machine.

		I'm not in love with the song, but I like it for what it is. It's almost pure pop, but the rest of the album is more rock-oriented, and like the band's previous release, might not be for everyone but is pretty enjoyable all the way through.
		I'm not sure why many rock fans are so down on Hoobastank, it's a little poppier and more accessible to the mainstream than a lot of bands but they still put together a good rock song.
		Hoobastank's second studio release is exactly what anyone expects from any band; an expansion of their sound, while still sounding like themselves.
