Horse Under Water - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Horse Under Water (1963, ISBN 0399104194) is the second of Len Deighton's spy novels featuring an unnamed British agent protagonist (named Harry Palmer in the movie adaptions).
In Horse Under Water these are crossword puzzle clue chapter titles; vaguely appropriate, since the protaonist agent solves crossword puzzles.
Later, it switches to heroin (the "Horse" of the title), and eventually it is revealed that the true interest is in the "Weiss list" — a list of Britons prepared to help the Third Reich set up a puppet government in Britain, should Germany prevail.

 Preventing Horse Colic
Horse colic is one of the most common equine health problems a horse owner will face, but with the proper preventative measures you can help minimize the chances of your horse developing this condition.
Don't worry about your horse overeating with grass or hay; when they graze in such a manner their system is more than capable of handling the slow but steady introduction of roughage.

Remember this is an average normal, and specific horses can be higher or lower as their normal — if you know your horse’s normal rate, you will be able to judge his stress level by it.
Heart Rate can be taken at the facial artery just under the curve of the jaw or at the artery on the left side just behind the elbow (this artery is easiest with a stethoscope, but on many horses it can be felt with slight pressure to the area).
Wetting the back is not mandatory, but if the horse likes it and has not just been ridden, (hot back muscles can contract and cause intense pain if suddenly cooled by cold water) an all over hosing is not dangerous.
