Hoshang Shah was the son of Dilawar Khan and he is said to have reigned for nearly 3 decades.
After Hoshang Shah's death in 1435 AD, his son Mahmud Shah ascended the throne, but his reign was short lived as he was poisoned to death by his namesake and confidante.
It may be noted that Mahmud Shah was succeeded to the throne by his son Ghiyathuddin Khalji, who reportedly built the Jahaz Mahal as shelter for his harem of fifteen thousand.
