| | National Association of Hosiery Manufacturers Records Initial Inventory (#5017) |
 | | In 1999, NAHM merged with the Carolina Hosiery Association to form the Hosiery Association, which represents the manufacturers of more than 85 percent of the hosiery produced in the United States, providing its members with lobbying, statistical, and public relations services, and organizing industry conferences and trade shows. |
 | | Records of the National Association of Hosiery Manufacturers, 1918-1996, include minutes of meetings of the board of directors; programs, proceedings, and other items relating to annual meetings and conferences; membership records; other papers; and videotapes of conferences in the early 1990s and of presentations on issues of interest to hosiery manufacturers. |
 | | In view of this emphasis on hosiery and of the fact that there was a separate, active organization of underwear manufacturers, the organization decided in 1933 to drop its activities related to underwear manufacture and change its name to the National Association of Hosiery Manufacturers (NAHM). |
