Gravy said he respects Hot 97 so much that immediately after the shooting, he hid the fact that he was shot and appeared on Flex's show for his scheduled interview.

Hot 97 has now "indefinitely" suspended the Morning Show, Sprint and McDonalds (among other sponsors) have pulled their advertising dollars (in theory), and Jin is getting a song dissing Hot 97...played on Hot 97.
If that's what Hot 97 tries to do, it's time to pull back the curtain and expose the fraud.
This incident has drawn so much attention to Hot 97 that we all (Miss Jones, her crew, African American and Asian American listeners) may lose in the end.

"Hot 97 is a public and private nuisance to the people of New York," said Brian O'Dwyer, an attorney representing the District Council of Carpenters Benefits Funds, which owns the building at 395 Hudson St. "They are fostering a level of violence to ensure a high rating."
The lawsuit, filed in state Supreme Court, also seeks to evict two other stations, Kiss FM and CD 101.9, both of which are owned by Hot 97's parent company, Emmis Broadcasting Corp. However, all but one of the 53 incidents cited in the complaint are related to Hot 97.

It should've been a triumph; Hot 97 announced the lineup for its annual Summer Jam concert, probably rap's biggest annual event (I should add that this will be the first time I'll have a chance of going to Summer Jam, and I'm just unspeakably amped about it).
But the big news for Hot 97 is that the New York City District of Carpenters Pension Fund, the organization that owns the West Village building where Hot 97 has its studios, announced that it would seek to evict Emmis Radio Corporation, the company that owns Hot 97, CD-101.9, and KISS-FM, from the building.
Granted, it's not like Hot 97 staffers are out there shooting people, but the station does carry some burden of responsibility here in its role as a venue for real-time rap beef.

We ask that all Hot 97 employees actively involved with the production and broadcast of the ill-humoured "Tsunami Song" played on "Miss Jones in the Morning" on January 21st, 2005, be fired and fllisted from working at the radio station permanently.
This kind of behaviour is simply intolerable, and Hot 97’s refusal to address the problem at hand will not come without serious consequences for the radio station as no corporation would support such an organization.

Hot 97 Radio might need to find a new place to call home.
To try and curtail any more violence, police are planning to install a surveillance camera outside the building in hopes of avoiding more problems in the near future.
