House Stark is the principal noble house in the North; many lesser houses are sworn to them.
In the distant past the Starks' control of the North was violently contested by a rival house, the Boltons, who finally swore fealty 1,000 years before the beginning of the series.

The Fremont Democrat first proposed his legislation in 1995 after his wife, Deborah, went to an optometrist in Washington for a new contact lens prescription and was told she couldn't get a copy to take back with her to California if she needed replacement lenses there.

Agree that Martell has a nice offensive deck but one drawback of that is they are the only house that has not a single tower at all to protect their units from being casualties.
But you are right, just recently my impression of house Martell grew the better, probably they are my 2nd favorite right now.
