There was a question regarding them on a phone in plant show just yesterday the expert said they need a two month cool period during the winter with very little water and a temperature of about 50 degrees farenheit to produce blooming.

A fine reference for those who aren't very serious about their plants; if you are serious enough to actually remember the names of your plants, you might want to try something else.
It is also helpful to identify plants, I'm sure we have all had the experience of getting a plant as a gift and not having a clue as to it's type, origin and care.
