		Following the Meeting of Commonwealth Heads of Government held in Lusaka from 1 August to 7 August 1979, the British Government issued invitations to Bishop Muzorewa and the leaders of the Patriotic Front to participate in a Constitutional Conference at Lancaster House.
		Not to be confused with Lancaster House Conference.
		The agreement ended the white rule in Rhodesia under Ian Smith; it was signed between the Patriotic Front (PF), consisting of ZAPU (Zimbabwe African Peoples Union) and ZANU (Zimbabwe African National Union) and the Rhodesian government, represented at that time by Bishop Abel Muzorewa and Smith.
