Hoveton (pronounced Hovton) is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk.
Hoveton is served by Hoveton and Wroxham railway station, which is on the Bittern Line from Norwich to Cromer and Sheringham, and which is the terminus of the narrow gauge Bure Valley Railway to Aylsham.
Hoveton Hall is a 19th century building attributed to Humphry Repton.

Wroxham bridge is considered to be the second most difficult on the Broads to navigate (after Potter Heigham) and a pilot station sits on the Hoveton side of the river to assist boaters for a fee.
In fact, Roys of Wroxham is entirely situated on the Hoveton side of the river.
Wroxham is served by Hoveton and Wroxham railway station, which is on the Bittern Line from Norwich to Cromer and Sheringham, and which is the terminus of the narrow gauge Bure Valley Railway to Aylsham.

Hoveton Hall Gardens is home to Andrew and Barbara Buxton and has been in the Buxton family since 1946.

Hoveton Hall is cared for by Mr and Mrs Andrew Buxton, the descendants of that Edward Buxton who started the family passion for daffodils.
He passed his enthusiasm on to his sonDesmond Gurney Buxton, who moved to Hoveton in 1946 and was able to plant the then newest varieties of daffodils, which were imported into East Anglia by a Dutch company called Peter de Jager.
Hoveton Hall is open from Easter Monday to mid-September on Wednesday, Friday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays, Thursdays in May, 11am to 5.30pm.

Hoveton Hall is very fortunate in having so much water in one of England's driest counties.
There are several woodland walks and in the spring rhododendrons, azaleas, primulas, enormous gunneras and new plantings of magnolias and camellias provide a spectacular display.
Hoveton Hall also has walled herbaceous gardens and in June the peonies are magnificent.

Between them they are one of the major boat hiring villages in the Broads with many boatyards along the river bank and large dykes which cut inland from the river downstream of the river bridge.
Hoveton Great Broad is now a nature reserve and access is restricted to an exciting nature trail which takes you through what can only be described as the nearest thing to a tropical swamp that you are likely to find in Britain.

The 1st Hoveton and Wroxham really is a very successful Group making a significant contribution to Scouting in Norfolk.
However, 2006 is a different story and the 1st Hoveton and Wroxham are planning a visit to Brownsea next year.
