		Howard County was formed on April 17, 1873 and named for James Howard, a state senator.
		In the county the population is spread out with 26.90% under the age of 18, 8.60% from 18 to 24, 27.80% from 25 to 44, 21.60% from 45 to 64, and 15.10% who are 65 years of age or older.
