While attending film school at the University of Southern California, Kazanjian met a young George Lucas and they soon became friends, as well as Delta Kappa Alpha cinema fraternity brothers.
Kazanjian continued his work as an assistant director on such memorable films as The Wild Bunch (1969), The Great Bank Robbery (1969) and Alfred Hitchcock's Family Plot.
Kazanjian continued his role as a producer for the award-winning TV drama "JAG" (1995) and various films including The Rookie (1990) starring Clint Eastwood and Demolition Man (1993) starring Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes.

Return was Lucas's initial thought for the title but Howard G. Kazanjian, producer of ROTJ, told him return was a weak title and Lucas went with Revenge.
Howard Kazanjian has gone on record saying that RETURN was Lucas' original choice, but based on Kazanjian's own misgivings the title was changed to the "more commercial" REVENGE.

 Blue Harvest - Art History Online Reference and Guide
The Blue Harvest ruse, credited to producer Howard Kazanjian, was very thorough, emblazoning the fictitious film's logo on a wide range of film production items including shirts, caps, coats, buttons, signs, invoices and stationery.
The Blue Harvest facade did give a bit of a wink and nod to its true purpose however, as the supposed film's logo (intentionally or unintentionally) utilized the distinctive Star Wars logo lettering style.
So when a visitor would ask, 'what are you shooting' and we said Blue Harvest, they went on their way.
