An article in the May issue of CAT's "Philatelic Magazine" mentioned that the Hua Lamphong Post Office (postcode 10331) had moved from its long time iocation at a front corner of the Hua Lamphong Railway Station to the ground floor of the Bangkok Mail Centre building, about 5 minutes walk.
The current Hua Lamphong post office can trace its ancestry to being the "Bangkok 5 Post Office" which opened sometime before 1891.
But Hua Lamphong had to be expanded to accommodate the extra trains and this construction caused Post Office No. 5 to be closed temporarily, as of June 1, 1926.

Not that Hua Lamphong was that sort of restaurant.
I don't know if it was because we were there in off season, but often we were one of the only customers and the waitstaff to patron ratio is like eight to one.
The menu Hua Lamphong Food Station is quite large, and I couldn't even tell you about 1/10 of it because we weren't allowed to glance at it for more than about 60 seconds.
