When purchasing Hubbard squash, look for Hubbard that are large, round with tapered ends, ranging in color from gray-blue to brilliant orange between one and three foot long squash that are heavy for their size.
Hubbard squash should be stored in cool dry areas of the storeroom, 42 to 48 degrees F. best with 70 to 75% humidity.
