Hudson was Nintendo’s first third-party developer, so we were curious whether it was Hudson or Nintendo that came up with the idea for TurboGrafx-16 games on the Virtual Console, though it was apparently Konami who mediated the deal.
Hudson did say that the game could be thought of as an very expanded version of the airplane portion of PilotWings.
Hudson recognizes that their fans have kept much better track of their franchises over the years than they have, and are extremely open to hearing from them.

According to an official Japanese statement from both companies, Konami will buy 3 million new Hudson shares for 1.43 billion yen ($13.26 million) on April 27th, giving it over 50% of the shares in the company, and therefore allowing Hudson Soft to be officially included as an auxiliary division of Konami.
Hudson Soft co-founder Hiroshi Kudo previously resigned back in November 2004, due to the expected loss of 7.3 billion yen ($69m) for the financial year ending March 31st, 2005, another sign of Hudson's problems that have led to this change of ownership.
As well as its assimilation of Hudson Soft, which has 530 employees, and which it previously held a large stake in, Konami also owns significant portions of other Japanese game developers including Atlus and Takara.

Hudson's NES library is pretty small, but they released a lot of quality games.
It's hard to say whether their Adventure Island series or Bomberman series was the bigger seller during the NES days, but now Hudson is commonly referred to as "The Bomberman company" due to its never-ending sequels.
It was made by Hudson Soft subsidary Birthday, and it plays a lot like Zelda 1 on NES.

SAN JOSE (CNNMoney.com) — Nintendo's next generation video game system is going to rely pretty heavily on the past.
The company announced plans Thursday to offer over 1,000 classic video games from one-time rival Sega and old partner Hudson Software as part of a downloadable collection of games that will be able to be played on the Nintendo Revolution, due out later this year.
Nintendo said it will offer over 1,000 games that were made for the Sega Genesis (not the system's entire collection, but a significant percentage) as well as an unknown number of games for the TurboGrafx, a system jointly developed by NEC and Hudson in 1987.
