Hughie Gallacher - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hughie Gallacher (February 2, 1903 in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, Scotland - 1957) was a Scottish football player in the 1920s and 1930s.
Gallacher was one of the famous 'Wembley Wizards' who beat England 5-1 at Wembley Stadium in 1928.
In 1920, Gallacher signed his first professional terms with Dumfries club, Queen of the South, but within a year he had transferred to Airdrieonians where he miraculously inspired the tiny Lanarkshire outfit to three Scottish League runners-up positions and a Scottish Cup in four seasons.

For Gallus, as opposed to Hugh of Balma, the intellectual faculty achieves its peak in the second movement of this last stage of union; but the affective faculty remains dominant in the final phase.
Hugh of Balma, thoroughly influenced by Gallus and perhaps the most immediate source of the Cloud, stresses the importance of the intellect in the first two stages of the mystical ascent, like virtually everyone else in the tradition.
Hugh of Balma's division between the illuminative and the unitive phases, although more pronounced than that of Thomas Gallus, can easily be overemphasized.

JAS - Milieufederatie erkent misstanden subsidies
