Deputy Assistant Commissioner Brian Paddick (born 1953 in Balham) is a senior officer in the Metropolitan Police in London.
Paddick was educated at Sutton Grammar School, Sutton then went on to study at Queen's College, Oxford (BA), the University of Warwick (MBA), and the University of Cambridge (Postgraduate Diploma in Criminology).
Paddick was quoted by the BBC as stating, "It was a very calm meeting.

Hugh Paddick (Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire August 22, 1915 – November 11, 2000 in London), was a British actor, who appeared in the 1960s BBC radio show Round the Horne in sketches such as Charles and Fiona (as Charles) and Julian and Sandy (as Julian).
He lived for over thirty years with his male partner Francis, whom he met at a party in London.
He is distantly related to British police commander Brian Paddick.

It was created by writers Barry Took and Marty Feldman, with other writers contributing to later series, and starred Kenneth Horne with Kenneth Williams, Hugh Paddick, Betty Marsden, Bill Pertwee and Douglas Smith.
One of the most popular sketches was Julian and Sandy, featuring Williams and Paddick as two flamboyantly camp men, with Horne as their comic foil.
Their characters - Fiona and Charles - were a pair of lovestruck, dated cinema idols engaging in stilted, extraordinarily polite, dialogues, in scenes that were parodies of Noel Coward's style.

With the coming of the war, in 1939, Hugh joined the Royal Artillery where as a commissioned officer he served until he was demobbed in 1945, when he returned to acting.
Round The Horne displayed Paddick's adept knack of acting comedy, and his portrayal of characters such as Binkie Huckabuck (a faded matinee idol), Colonel Brown-Horrocks, Gnomeclencher, and many more, aided to the series being regarded as a milestone in broadcast comedy.
Paddick is survived by his partner Francis, who had been with him for more than 30 years.

Hugh Paddick, the actor best known for his contribution to the 1960s radio comedy Round The Horne, has died aged 85, his manager has confirmed.
Paddick had been ill for several months and died in hospital near his home in Woburn, Bedfordshire.

Sandy always greeted Kenneth Horne with "Oh how bona to vada your dolly old eek again, heartface" or similar variations.
Along with Hugh Paddick as Julian these actors were always finding new occupations while filling in between acting work (this acting work usually consisted of commercials- You've seen that one where that great butch Omi's on a building site and he's squatting there with his mates rolling his own?).
Peasmould Gruntfuttock-Old codger, greatly in favour of sex and violence on television, whose varying professions included bathroom window cleaner, and scriptwriter for the BBC.
