	Joanne Hugi Retiring
		Joanne Hugi's long and fruitful association with the Computing Center began when she took a student clerical job in the Documents Room Library in 1970.
		Her dedication to finding opportunities for the university to enhance its position with respect to telecommunications and networking led to several fruitful partnerships in both public and private sectors, and she never lost sight of her goal of providing superior computing and networking support for the UO's instruction, research, and administrative programs.
		Hugi's immediate future is filled with travel plans, and she is looking forward to an extended period of globe trotting.

		I have a Cannondale branded MTB hub set that was made by Hugi, they are great hubs (and yeah the freewheels are loud!) Too bad they are a 4-bolt disc rotor type, which means once I chuck my Coda disc brakes, they're no use to me anymore

		Pictured is the partially disassembled Hugi hub showing the larger 'drive-side' bearing and dust caps.
		The mountain bike front hub spacing is 100mm - the same as on a road front hub - so we'll need to add either 20mm of spacers or 26mm depending on what frame you are going to use the wheel on.
		I was unable to find a matching Hugi 'Onyx' road front hub, but I was able to find a 32H Ritchey front hub that matches the Onyx profile quite nicely.

		Hugi (or DT) need to re-design this product as it is obviously not capable of withstanding the forces of normal cycling.
		Hugi claims that the rear hub supports "toolless" partial disassembly (enough to service the ratchet drive, but not the bearings) - don't believe it.
		Sometimes with the Hugi's you need to look down to actually remind yourself that a set of wheels are underneath you.

		My Hugi flange cracked on the drive side.Called DT swiss they replaced it and relaced the wheel no problem.
		I was informed by a wheelbuilder that Hugi had some issues with anodizing the earlier hubs which lead to the cracking.
