Hugo Pastor Corro (born November 5, 1953 in Eusebio Bustos, Mendoza, Argentina), better known plainly as Hugo Corro, is a former boxer from Argentina who was world Middleweight champion.
Hugo Corro began fighting as a professional on August 30, 1973, with a sixth round knockout victory against Gustavo Dieff in the Argentine city of Tunuyan.

Vito Antuofermo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Antuofermo learned how to fight in the tough areas of New York City, and by his teens he had made up his mind that he wanted to be a professional boxer.
In 1979, Antuofermo became world's Middleweight champion by beating defending champ Hugo Corro by a decision in 15 rounds at Monte Carlo.
An interesting fact about that fight was that, according to an article on Ring Magazine, Howard Cosell, who was working on that fight's live broadcast to the USA, was telling viewers that Corro was, in his opinion, way ahead on the judges' cards.

Marvin Hagler - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
He often had to travel to his opponents' hometowns to get fights, and he even boxed against the best that the city of Philadelphia had to offer.
He lost decisions to Willie Monroe and Bobby 'Boogaloo' Watts, and had to suffer while watching less deserving challengers receive title shots against Carlos Monzon and Hugo Corro.
This served for Hagler to build upon a character that was as tough as steel, but with a soft spot in his heart toward his fans.

On September 16, 1988, Roldan beat former world Middleweight champion Hugo Corro by a knockout in round one in Mar del Plata, securing a third world title shot, against Michael Nunn, on November 4 of that year.

Hugo had brought the crown back to Argentina after the retirement of Carlos Monzon.
In comparison to Monzon who was the powerful and indestructable force, Corro was a smooth and slick boxer.

He had to go through one tough and rugged Middleweight Champion in Vito "The Mosquito" Antuofermo, because some other fly by night champion named Hugo Corro during that time made more camera appearances to be a Rock Star, with lesser stellar essentials on fighting inside the ring.
Minter kept sharp in 1979 fighting four times for that year.
