Hullbridge Parish Council has 13 elected Members who serve a population of approximately 7,000 residents.
Hullbridge itself is set in the north west corner of the Rochford district and is adjacent to the River Crouch in the north and surrounded by green belt elsewhere.
Hullbridge also has a large recreation ground that incorporates a number of facilities for the young people of the village.

The Hullbridge Tigers kept possession for a while until a Pumas determined interception meant they could make their way back up the pitch, another attempt was made on the Hullbridge goal, a good save stopped another goal.
Hullbridge Tigers determined to score made their way towards the Pumas goal, tackles were made by the Pumas defence to try and stop the advance but Hullbridge were able to take a shot at goal but Callum pulled of a great save.
After the Hullbridge goal kick Leisha won back possession for the Pumas and she took a shot but was inches away.

 Walk #277: Battlebridge to Wallasea
I had been concerned that Sam may not be able to find the fairly remote place that I was intending to end the walk, but on further reflection (and with giving terry an OS map which had the place marked on) I decided that she would have no problems, which proved to be the case.
Whilst I was walking eastwards along the road from Hullbridge I received a phone call from a lady who was involved with Tom Isaac's Coastin' walk around Britain.
This was to avoid the large tidal creek to the east of Hullbridge that did not have any suitable footpaths around it.

The visitors were given a wake-up call just before half-time when Hullbridge pulled a goal back from a corner and again just after the break when hesitation in the Wisbech defence allowed the home side to reduce the gap to one goal on 46 minutes.
With the momentum (and the slight slope) in their favour, Hullbridge's confidence grew and for a period of fifteen minutes, they had the upper hand.

City were due to field a mixture of trialists and the youth team to play Southend United Youth at 12:30pm, followed by another trialist's match against Hullbridge Sports at 3:00pm.
The Hullbridge pitch has undergone major work since the end of the season and has not recovered sufficiently to enable the games to go ahead on Saturday.
