The hamlet of Lengyelfalva was probably founded by Polish tribes during the Honfoglalás (settling of the Hungarians on the banks of the Danube) (IXth century AD).

The first data about the ancestors of the Orbán family goes back to the period around the year 1500 A.D. The only known fact is that they belonged to the nemesek (nobility) of Erdély (nowadays Transylvania) and played in important role in the fight against the Turks.

In the former Székely district of Aranyosszék[4] and its surroundings, the population percentage of Hungarians declined primarily in Székelyko-csárd, Hadrév, Felvinc, Aranyosegerbegy and Szentmihály as a result of the increased settling of Rumanians and the urbanization of the Torda region and Maros valley.

Imre Thököly ( Thököly/Tököly/Tökölli Imre in Hungarian; Imrich Tököli in Slovak; Emericq Thököly according to his most frequent signature) ( 1657- 1705), statesman, leader of an anti-Habsburg uprising, prince of Transylvania.
In December 1670, when his father Stephen Thököly, a participant of the anti-Habsburg Wesselenyi Conspiracy, was killed by imperial troops when protecting his Orava castle (in northern Slovakia), he fled from the castle to Transylvania, where he took refuge with his kinsman Michael Teleki, the chief minister of Michael Apafi, prince of Transylvania.
Thököly materially assisted the Turks in the Vienna campaign of 1683, and shared the fate of the gigantic Turkish army.

 Zoltan Kodaly
Zoltán Kodály (December 16, 1882 - March 6, 1967) was a Hungarian composer, ethnomusicologist and educator.
Kodály subsequently became very interested in the problems of music education, and wrote a good deal of educational music for schools, as well as books on the subject.
In 1900, Kodály entered Budapest University to study modern languages, and began to study music at the Academy of Music in Budapest, where Hans Koessler taught him composition.
