 Reading Hungarian parish registers
So if the name was Emericus Kiss in the register of baptisms, then was written by a German priest as Emmerich Kiß when he was married, and then you find him as Kiss Imre in the register of deaths, then all three names should appear in your documentation.
It was easy to imagine that the scribe had assumed that the name was really Szekrényes but was being pronounced with a regional accent as Szökrönyös and he wanted to "correct" it until eventually the matter was cleared up and a special comment entered in the parish register stating that the name is really Szökrönyös.
The given names are also all in Latin so there is an abundance of Franciscus, Antonius, Josephus, Georgius, Stephanus, etc. Once we realize that these all end in a fancy flourish, we can guess that the flourish is an abbreviation for the ending of these fairly long names and replaces the 'us'.

Systems hungarian (also known as Ludwig hungarian) is the hungarian that the User team (led by Scott Ludwig) in Windows adopted for Windows 3.1.
That’s something of a shame, because Simonyi-style Hungarian Notation was the basis leading a certain Excel developer to devise such function names as CleanPots and FreePot (a POT being a “piece ‘o’ text”).

Hungarian is perfectly all right if that's what your company requires, or if that's the sort of sick thing you like to do with the blinds drawn late at night.
Plus, it keeps the notation short enough that I can simply as part of my standard heading comment block, so any coder who has the sense to read it will know my conventions, rather than the _true_ hungarian notation which requires a lengthy document.
