Huntingdon has been represented by two exceptionally famous members of parliament: Oliver Cromwell in the 17th century and John Major in the 20th.

Huntingdon was erected from Bedford by an act of Assembly, passed on the 20th day of September, 1787.
The avidity shown by the sons of "old Huntingdon," in rallying to the support of their country in the rebellion of 1861, exhibited a patriotism not less commendable than that of the sires of '76.
Huntingdon is situated on the north bank of the Juniata, at the mouth of Standing Stone Creek, two hundred and two and a half miles west of Philadelphia.

Joseph Causey, 19, whose address was not listed, and two Huntingdon residents - Rebecca Matthews, 23, and Michael John Paul Macias, 24 - were arrested Monday night and charged in Stenke’s death, state police said in a news release.
Stenke was staying in Huntingdon because he was working on a new retail store under construction.
