In the early 1950s, Hall and former Bowery Boys actor Gabriel Dell teamed up and for a "Hall and Dell" nightclub act that was so successful it cost both men their marriages; in 1953 Hall's and Dell's wives both sued for divorce, claiming the men thought more of the act than they did of them.
In 1954 Hall was arrested for fighting with the manager of a building where he was attending a party; apparently the party was too noisy and the manager told the occupants to quiet down.
Hall took offense at this, a fight ensued and Hall was arrested for assault, for which he paid a $50 fine and was put on probation.

Hall was one of a group of young actors who came to Hollywood to make a film version of the Sidney Kingsley play ``Dead End'' in 1937, two years after he starred in the play on Broadway.
Hall later appeared in the films ``A Walk in the Sun'' in 1945, ``Gentle Giant'' in 1967, ``Herbie Rides Again'' in 1974 and ``The Escape Artist'' in 1982.

Henry "Huntz" Hall, (August 15, 1919 - January 30, 1999) was a radio, theatrical and motion picture performer perhaps best known for his acting in the "Dead End Kids" movies such as Angels with Dirty Faces (1938).
Hall later played the increasingly buffoonish Horace Debussy "Sach" Jones in 48 inexpensive but profitable Bowery Boys entries, graduating to top billing when Leo Gorcey left the series in 1955.
He died from congestive heart failure at the age of 80.
