I knew this was not going to be a pleasant half-day ride as the weather forecast was for gale-force winds around the coast.
My son, Matthew, had decided to paddle his sea kayak from Huonville to Hobart on one of his days off work and asked me if I would mind bringing his car back to Hobart for him.
I said it would make for some good exercise for me to ride from home at Lauderdale to Huonville, collect his car and drive back home.
