My Huron County family is BOWER or BOWERS and I have gotten great help in finding Silas BOWERS who was born elsewhere in 1805 and married in Huron County in the 1830's.
I have seen several references to a book of marriages in Huron Co. What I have seen was the names of the bride and groom and the date of the marriage.
I was looking at the listing for the Huron cemeteries and see a John and Sarah FERGUSON listed with a page number 432 behind it, is there away to find out what cemetery they are buried at, and the date they where born and died.

 Mystery Gull at Huron, Erie County, Ohio 01/29/2002
South end of the Huron Pier on the stone piles on the East side of the pier.
Temperatures were in the mid-40's F at the lakefront, even though inland temperatures were in the 60's F. I viewed this bird through both binoculars (Zeiss 10x40) and telescope (Kowa TSN 4 with 20-60x zoom).
Additionally the large mirror on P10 of the Huron bird is inconsistent with any subspecies of herring gull.

However, the only listing for an Ott in the Huron county 1850 census is a Michael OTT, age 24, a laborer living with the Heston family.
The young fellow that wrote the diary was from Williams County, Ohio, and told of his travels and the battles throughout the war.
I don't know what roads they took, though, but the obituary of one of the children on that trip mentions that Ohio was their original destination; they stayed in NY because of the War of 1812 and problems with the Indians along the way and especially in Ohio.
