Hurricane Inez - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hurricane Inez was a Cape Verde-type hurricane and the most destructive hurricane of the 1966 Atlantic hurricane season.
Inez turned northeastward in response to a building of high pressure to its northwest, weakening Inez to a tropical storm as she crossed the islands.
Inez caused 1000 casualties, though damage was only $200 million, smaller than expected, due to the small size of the storm and lateness of the season.
