The Husnock are a fictitious alien race mentioned in Episode 51 ("The Survivors") of the science fiction television series Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Recreations of the Husnock warship were later created by the Douwd to drive away the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D), which had come to Rana IV to investigate the Husnock attack.
Given the power of the Husnock recreations, "The Survivors" indicated that the Husnock were vastly superior (militarily) to Starfleet and that, had not the Douwd destroyed their entire race, the Federation would most likely have come into hostilities with the encroaching Husnock.

The Husnock were a highly destructive alien force which attacked and destroyed a human colony.
In recent years, the term Husnock has also come to be used in slang to describe a hostile and overbearing woman, most often in a very negative tone.
The original Husnock aliens were described as highly aggressive and destructive and such behavior is often indicated when referring to a woman as a Husnock.

However, in 2366 a Husnock warship destroyed the Delta Rana IV colony by obliterating the entire surface of the planet.
Assuming that the warship was an accurate representation, the Husnock vessel was approximately five times the mass of the Galaxy class Enterprise and carried a heavy armament.
At warp speed the image of the Husnock ship proved to be at least as fast as the Enterprise, although again it is not known if the original vessel would have this level of capability.

Unfortunately, in 2366, a warship belonging to a vicious species known as the Husnock chose to attack Rana Four.
When Kevin found her body, he lost control of his emotions; in a fury of blind rage, he summoned his powers and destroyed the Husnock completely - all fifty billion of the species.
The ship's counselor, Deanna Troi, began to sense Kevin's true nature through her empath powers; Kevin sensed this himself and used his own powers to implant an endlessly-repeating piece of music in Deanna's mind, distracting her and nearly destroying her mind.

Husnock strings combos and attacks like the Devil himself, uses attacks that are utterly cheap and horribly powerful, and worst of all, shows little mercy!
Husnock is strong, but not invincible: Demon Eyes Parker, Henry Venetta, Clint Werner, and other such powerful foes can bring him down, albeit with some struggle.
Husnocks has more attacks and also they sound like they're a lot more damaging than Gorjirus's, but that is only a matter of opinoin. And Husnock's final attack seems pretty devistating.

The Husnock were first encountered by SILVER Fleet in 2409 when USS FEYNMAN (Zane, commanding) discovered a derelict Husnock warship.
It appears that the Husnock relied heavily on artificial intelligence and computers and they are all that is left of the warrior race.

Even assuming that only parts of the colony world were Earth-like, the damage to the entire surface still requires that the Husnock be capable of delivering devastating amounts of energy against the surface within a mere three days (and likely less, but three days is how long it had been since the colony's distress call).
Of course, this assumes that the Husnock image was still firing the jacketed streams of antimatter the second time around.
Assuming Uxbridge had his image of the Husnock realistically constructed during the 40MW first engagement, this suggests that the Husnock were used to unshielded targets.

There is one really good scene in the episode, when Picard turns to Worf after the Husnock ship has been detected for the first time, and only with a glance reminds him of his promise that there should be no other ship in the system, which leaves the Klingon baffled and embarrassed.
Maybe they just waited for Husnock ground troops to take as many as possible with them until the inevitable end, and they didn't anticipate that the starship could erase the colony at the push of a button.
Considering that the Husnock are now extinct, this may be good, but I don't think this is the actual reason that the ship miniature vanished too.

To bring the shields down the Husnock fired a series of four pulses over approximately one second - I don't have the software needed to time it exactly, so I will assume that it is exactly one second.
I'll assume that the Husnock weapon was, say, fifty times as powerful as this overall.
Now when we see the Husnock ship firing on the Enterprise, the pulses certainly look like they're going a lot slower than lightspeed - but of course special effects are not a very good indicator of this kind of thing (phasers travel at c, and they usually look quite slow on screen as well).
