On 23 April 07, Hutt Valley GymSports (HVGS) submitted a proposal to Hutt City Council for the construction of a GymSports “Super” Centre to be located at Hutt Park.
The gymnasium would have permanently set-up equipment including two full-size competition floor areas and would be a tremendous community asset for the Hutt Valley and Wellington region.
The gymnasium would be suitable for any ‘mat based sports’ and HVGS would like to hear from any other sports organisations that would be interested in using the proposed facility (or even our current facility) during off-peak time.

Mangaroa School in the Mangaroa Valley (Near Upper Hutt for those who don’t know) is the base and venue for this unique event.
In 2003, the weather was pleasant, and numbers were up on 2002 with nearly 100 involved, including 8 teams from HVIS.
