Hyborian Age - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Hyborian Age is a phrase used by author Robert E. Howard to refer to a specific epoch in a fictional timeline used for many of the low fantasy tales of his artificial legendry; in particular, the stories of Conan the Cimmerian and Kull of Atlantis.
In Howard's artificial legendry, the Hyborian Age is chronologically situated between several eras: The Pre-Cataclysmic Age (circa 20,000 BC) of Kull and the onslaught of the Picts (circa 9,500 BC).
The Hyborian Age was devised by author Robert E. Howard as the post-Atlantean setting of his Conan the Barbarian stories, designed to fit in with the previous and less known tales of Kull.

 The Hyborian Age
It is an adaptation by Roy Thomas and Walt Simonson of Robert E. Howard's immortal essay commencing with the age of Kull.
Of that epoch known by the Nemedian Chronicles as the Pre-Cataclysmic Age, little is known except the latter part, and that is veiled in the mists of legend.
The barbarians of the age were the Picts, who lived on islands far out on the Western Ocean, the Atlanteans, who dwelt on a small continent between the Pictish islands and the Thurian continent, and the Lemurians, who inhabited a chain of large islands in the Eastern Hemisphere.

To the south the Hyborians have founded the kingdom of Koth, on the borders of those pastoral countries known as the Lands of Shem, and the savages of those lands, partly through contact with the Hyborians, partly through contact with the Stygians who have ravaged them for centuries, are emerging from barbarism.
The Hyborians have become a considerably mixed race; the nearest to the ancient root-stock are the Gundermen of Gunderland, a northern province of Aquilonia.

Hyborian Tales is a Live Roleplaying game based on the works of Robert E. Howard, particularly his stories set during the Hyborian Age and featuring his most famous creation, Conan the Cimmerian.
The Hyborian Age is a rich and detailed setting, yet one which is flexible enough to have a huge variety of sword and sorcery tales set within it.
At present, the plan is to run three six-hour adventures and one tavern evening over the course of each weekend event, so that each player will play one adventure and crew the other two, as well as playing his or her main character during the tavern evening.

 Hyborian Era Gods
The Hyborian Era is, of course, the epoch of history from about 16,000 BC to 8,000 BC, a time in-between the Stone Age and the Bronze Age, which emerged after the sinking of Atlantis but was itself subsequently destroyed by another great catastrophe.
The Hyborian Age became a part of the history of the Marvel Universe after it acquired the license to Howard's characters, and several stories in the 1970's made it clear that Conan had existed in the past of Earth-616.
As a result of the Hyborian Era running from around 16,000 BC to 8,000 BC, before the Bronze Age, any gods worshipped in the Hyborian Era were thus worshipped in the Marvel Universe at a point before their cults began in actual history.

The overall style, mood and age should reflect that of the Hyborian world, and some keywords have been ancient, decadent, barbaric, violent, dirty, magic, sexy and lush.
For the overall style of the Hyborian age, he dove into the deep pond of music history, searching for an approach that would convey the right feeling of time and place, while avoiding conventions that connect too closely to specific periods.

Gaute Godager: The storyline in Age of Conan (or Conan for short) is set in the time after the novel "Hour of the Dragon" by Conan author Robert E. Howard.
As you progress through the game, you will gradually regain the memory of who you were, and what you were — your skills, abilities and knowledge will be regained through the act of gaining levels and solving quests (the so called "Destiny Quests").

Well, let’s just say that the created character used in the demonstration was surrounded by enemies (intentionally) and then pulled off a swirling attack that resulted in a few of the enemies losing their heads – literally.
Where Hyborian Adventures deviates from the norm in the MMO genre is that the game starts in a single-player mode.
