Norad II emerged from warp space right beside the Hyperion (amazing accuracy) and positioned itself so that it's side faced the Hyperion's bridge, a maneuver that would prevent the Hyperion from going back to warp (which it did try to do - Mengsk really was surprised by this).

Samir Duran tells that he "works for a far greater power" and "he finishes what was supposed to happen", and most Broodwar players think this "far greater power" are the Xel'Naga, and that the Xel'Naga are, with the Hybrid race, again trying to create the perfect race.
There is a secret level in BroodWar, and there Samir Duran lead a project that creates a Hybrid race: The Zerg-Protoss Hybrid.
And that race will probably be in StarCraft II, which is expected to come out around 2004 or so, Blizzard is a little slow sometimes :)

Infested terrans are already part of the zerg race and aren't very original to begin with and bringing a new race from out of no where might damage the stroyline depending on how it's used.
I think that Duran was infested by the old overmind and now he's making a zerg/toss hybrid to stop all of the other races and to basically let the overmind rule the universe but as a different race.
