HYDERABAD (May 10 2003) : To transform Hyderabad into a model district, the District government has launched a series of training programmes to develop various sectors on most modern lines by creating congenial atmosphere to attract domestic and foreign investors in socio-economic projects.
Following the reports that pesticides are one of the major contributors in destroying the agro-echo system and creating health hazards in the farming community, the District government, with the collaboration of 'Crop Life Pakistan', has launched a pilot training programme on safe uses of pesticides to create awareness among rural masses through inter-communication dialogue.
Under the programme, over 50 medical practitioners from all over the district, particularly from rural areas, would be provided with firsthand knowledge about the pesticides-related diseases, their symptoms and methods of diagnosis and treatment by specialist intoxic related diseases.

As a part of a larger design to construct an network in India for spreading terror and violence in the country, the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), Pakistan’s external intelligence agency, has begun to utilize various Muslim dominated regions (Hyderabad in southern India is a significant place in the ISI schema) as their operational base.
In the last 20 years, approximately 275 mosques and madrassas have emerged in the districts of Rupandehi, Banke, Kapilvastu and Bardiya (bordering the Uttar Pradesh State of Northern India) of which 50 mosques and madrassas were constructed during 1991-95, primarily with financial help from Saudi Arabia.
Dhubri and Nalbari districts in Assam, and Tura in Meghalaya, have been identified as important areas of ISI activities.
