Hyper engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The hyper engine was a hypothetical aircraft engine design, an engine that would be able to deliver 1 horsepower per cubic inch (46 kW/L) of engine displacement.
Engines were already fairly effecient, so in order to extract more power they would have to increase the amount of fuel/air mixture, the charge, either by growing larger or using a supercharger to force more charge into the engine.
Pre-war engines ran on 87 octane fuel, but the British were able to buy up most of the world's supply of light sweet crude just before the war started, and with improvements to their distilation factories they were able to guarentee supply of 100 octane fuels.

Aircraft engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In general the engine is run at maximum power for a few minutes while taking off, at a slightly reduced power for climb, and then spends the majority of its time at a cruise setting—typically 65% to 75% of full power.
The Wankel engine is about 1/2 the weight and size of a traditional four stroke cycle piston engine of equal power, and much lower in complexity.
Several attempts to produce diesel aircraft engines were made in the 1930s but, at the time, the alloys were not up to the task of handling the much higher compression ratios used in these designs.

In general the engine is run at maximum power for a few minutes while taking off, then at a slightly reduced power for climb, and then spends the vast majority of its time at a cruise setting, typically 65% to 75% of full power.
Aircraft engines tend to spend more effort on reliability than performance for this reason, and even then it was many years before they had the reliability needed to fly over the Atlantic for instance.
Several attempts to produce diesel aircraft engines were made in the 1930s, but at the time the alloys were not up to the task of handling the much higher compression ratios used in these designs, and they generally had poor power-to-weight ratios and were uncommon for that reason.

Another unique aspect of the X-43A vehicle is that the body of the aircraft itself forms critical elements of the engine, with the forebody acting as the intake for the airflow and the aft section serving as the nozzle.

An H engine (or H-block) is an engine configuration in which the cylinders are aligned so that if viewed from the front appear to be in a horizontal letter H.
The "two engines" each have their own crankshaft, which are then geared together at one end for power-take-off.
Subaru produce water-cooled flat-4 and flat-6 "Horizontal" engines that are marketed as H-4 and H-6, despite the fact that their configuration has nothing to do with a real H engine.

Radio Control Car Action: OFNA hyper 7 PBS: 8-port power play
Since the Hyper 7 PBS draws its name from this feature ("PBS" stands for "pivot ball suspension"), it must be something special-and it is. The thick-wall steering arms and rear hub carriers hold extra-large 14mm pivot balls and use plastic-padded aluminum retainers to dial out unwanted play.
The Hyper 7 PBS is really an engine story; when compared with the Hyper 7 RTR, with its standard 4-port Hyper.21, the new 8-port Hyper powerplant is in a whole 'nother league-not that there's anything shabby about the standard Hyper.21; it's a very solid sport engine.
As with any high-performance engine, it's particularly important to break in the Hyper 8-port engine property; see the January 2002 issue of RC Nitro to do the job right, and when in doubt, break in the engine for an extra tank or two.

The highest bidder for a particular word or phrase receives top placement, and depending on the engine, the top three to five bidders also generally also receive placement on the first page of unpaid search results.
It is of critical importance to focus sharply on identifying the search terms that convert most frequently for your particular site, eliminating those that don't perform, and most importantly, calculating and maximizing your return on investment.
