The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - Gamecube review
Needless to say, when the latest Legend of Zelda was announced for Nintendo's GameCube, Nintendo fans around the world were drooling with anticipation, waiting to see what the Big N would do with their beloved franchise.
The jeers resonated, with many gamers concerned that Nintendo had finally given in to its famous "kiddy" image, and that a Zelda game would not be a Zelda game if it looked like it should be running on television at 3 PM (most likely between Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh!).
Despite the kiddy first impression, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is easily a game fully worthy of players of any age and degree of hardcore.

I would say that quite a few of the legends are like fables, that is stories that demonstrate and lead up to a message or meaning or interpretation of some kind.
I am not quite as cooperative when people send me original fiction, the outline of their novel, or write to ask "can you help me get published." I am sure that everyone who has been published must get something like that from readers.
The legend part, of course, is that anyone is giving it away to kids, and that it is a "new" form of distributing LSD.

I Am Legend may also be one of the most effective uses of a scientific rationale for vampirism I have ever encountered.
This is a double-edged sword, because by discovering that vampires suffer from a disease, it becomes harder to think of them as true monsters and not the ill and suffering, and the author uses this effectively.

THE COLD SPOT \ Movies \ I Am Legend
March 18, 2002: I've read Mark Protosevich's script for I Am Legend, and while it was exciting and interesting, it crystallizes the major difficulty in bringing Richard Matheson's classic to the screen.
Any movie that wanted to be faithful to the tone of the book would have to allow periods of quiet that are just out of place in your usual summer blockbuster.
Scripted by Mark Protosevich, the film is an adaptation of the Richard Matheson novel that takes place in L.A. after a biological war and pits the last man on Earth against the populace of nocturnal mutants bent on rendering him extinct.
