I Dream of Jeannie depicted the male fantasy of a beautiful but subservient girl--but this subservient girl was all-powerful and oddly willful in her attempts to serve.

A consistent ratings winner during it's five-season run on NBC, I DREAM OF JEANNIE was written by Sidney Sheldon to be the network's response to the ABC sitcom "Bewitched", which also centered on fantasy themes and a leading lady with magical powers (and which was the ABC network's main ratings winner of the time).

Jeannie had gotten Sully to leave and she was waiting to talk to Tony, so now he's alienated himself from Jeannie, who leaves to become queen, while Tony and Roger are exiled to a remote post in Alaska.
Jeannie finally forces it out of Roger in the fourth episode: April 1, 46 B.C. In another four-part episode, Jeannie is locked in a safe bound for the moon, and any attempt to force the safe or use the wrong combination will destroy the safe with an explosive.
