		This live disc is so good that it still raises the hairs on my arms, even after some 32 years of deepening the grooves on my LP from repeated play.
		Recorded in 1969 (in what proved to be a difficult year for the band) at Madison Square Garden on November 27th and 28th, "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out" documents a wildly successful tour and for good reason.
		This recording of those Madison Square Garden concerts documents not only the achievement of The Stones, but also the beating heart of Rock and Roll.

		The collaboration and recording went very smoothly and everyone was on the same page but now the little details like the band name and the artwork and the mixes have caused one or two problems because we live on different continents and all of the communication is done on the Internet.
		Again, like Roine, Neal is a multi-instrumentalist and even though during the writing and recording he was stuck behind the keyboards, when he took the tapes on, he started to add a lot of guitar and percussion and of course vocals.
		As we were there to record drums first and foremost and because of the way he works with his other projects, we tended to follow his lead, which was fast and furious.

		Of course, politics and political division are big parts of Life in These United States nowadays, and the biggest, most pleasant surprise is how effortlessly the band incorporates these notions into their sound without betraying themselves.

		I think these guys listen to all the same records I do because I can hear the influences but it comes out sounding new.

		This CD is excellent in the sense that it will lure individuals in with tracks from major acts (like The Epoxies, The Adicts, and Roger Miret), but intersperse those tracks with a number of "upstarts" that often even outstrip the efforts of established bands on this disc.
		There were a couple here that didn't raise my pole (if ya know what I mean), but the score was greatly weighted in favour of the hits over the misses.
		After punk's commercial uprisings in the late '70s, and again in the MTV age, it's easy to forget that the music is still living as a commercial outcast in the underground.
